Sustainable Tea Farming

You can only cook a good meal with good ingredients. Likewise, you can't produce good tea without carefully picked, quality tea leaves. Lazika's most important value is respect for tea, from the garden to the cup.

So, how do you show respect for tea? We thought about it this way: if we take care of tea throughout the entire process, from soil to cup, support sustainable tea farming, encourage proper harvesting, and introduce quality leaves into production with care and attention, we will have truly shown respect for tea.

This is the purpose of our work at Lazika. Our tea garden and production facility in Elmalık village are at the heart of these practices. We develop our tea farming methods and share them with our growers, striving to be a role model in tea farming and harvesting.

We encourage hand-picking and top-picking of tea leaves. In 2025, we will take these practices even further by implementing permaculture. This will not only enrich our soil but also help us lead the way in producing higher-quality tea.

Additionally, we plan to promote the cultivation of other herbs used in our herbal teas, increasing the economic value of tea production once again.
