How Can You Tell if Green Tea is Good?
By looking at the brand. For example. Lazika If it says so, that's good.
Joking aside, our goal is of course to become the brand that comes to mind worldwide when people think of good, delicious tea.
What makes Lazika Green Tea different and so good?
Actually, there are many positive criteria for understanding "good green tea". Catechin content is one of them. Polyphenol and extract content are the other two.
So, the amount of substances in tea that make green tea beneficial and good for our health is what makes green tea good.
Green Tea Production in Lazika This Year
This year in Lazika, we produced five times more green tea than last year. We harvest the tea leaves from our own gardens and from gardens we have agreements with.
We had our green tea analyzed again this year. The results made us extremely happy. We are pleased to see the benefits of not taking shortcuts in production.
Quality Ratings of Our Teas
Our teas have an extract content of 44.15%, while the Food Codex states 29% is sufficient. Our teas contain 52% more extract than required. How do you know this? It's a result of the tea being non-bitter, full-bodied, and flavorful. Or it's because you can do a double brewing.
The antioxidant effect of green tea comes from two active substances: polyphenols and catechins. Our tea has a polyphenol content of 15.2%. The food codex considers 11% sufficient. We have approximately 45% more polyphenols than that.
Our catechin content is 10.92%. The Codex requires 7%. Our green tea has 60% more catechins.
What should we do to develop Turkish tea?
There is only one way for Turkish tea to improve: for all tea lovers, whether reading these lines or not, to demand good tea. To achieve this, we need to understand and explain very clearly what constitutes good tea.
Wishing you a Happy and Delicious New Year!
I wish you a happy and wonderful new year filled with good tea.
