How to Know if Green Tea is Good?

How to Identify High-Quality Green Tea?

One way is to check the brand. For example, if it says Lazika, it's good.

Just kidding! Of course, our goal is to be the brand that comes to mind when people think of high-quality, delicious tea worldwide.

What Makes Lazika Green Tea Different and Better?

There are several positive criteria to identify “good green tea.” One of them is the catechin content. Other important factors include the polyphenol content and the extract ratio.

In other words, the amount of beneficial compounds present in the tea that make green tea healthy and good is what makes it great.

This Year's Green Tea Production at Lazika

This year, we produced five times more green tea than last year at Lazika. We harvest our tea leaves from our own gardens and contracted gardens.

We also had our green tea analyzed this year. The results made us extremely happy. We are pleased to see the benefits of not taking shortcuts in production.

Our Tea's Quality Ratios

The extract ratio of our teas is 44.15%, while the Food Code requires 29% as sufficient. Our teas have 52% more extract than required. How can you tell? It's the result of non-bitter, full-bodied, and flavorful tea. Or being able to brew it twice.

The antioxidant effect of green tea comes from two active compounds: polyphenols and catechins. Our tea has a polyphenol content of 15.2%. The Food Code considers 11% sufficient. We have approximately 45% more polyphenols.

Our catechin content is 10.92%. The Code requires 7%. Our green tea contains 60% more catechins.

What Should We Do for the Development of Turkish Tea?

There is only one way to develop Turkish tea. All tea lovers, whether they read this or not, must demand high-quality tea. To do this, we need to clearly understand and communicate what makes tea good.

I Wish You a Happy and Delicious New Year!

I wish you a wonderful new year full of happiness and good tea.
