First-harvest tea from the high villages of Rize.
Twice filtered and dust-free—pure, natural, and sourced only from Rize.

We present this tea in carefully designed and hand-sewn cloth packaging, created to find a beautiful place in your kitchen—and then in your heart.

These fabric bags are sewn by 30 women who work with Lazika, making each one a quiet but real part of local production and women’s employment. For us, this packaging is not just a container, but a visible expression of labor.

And its story does not end with the tea. The cloth bags can be reused as spice pouches, kitchen organizers, or storage for small items—designed not to be thrown away, but to keep living.

Brewing Secrets

To make good tea, you first need good water.
• Use fresh, oxygenated water that hasn't been boiled too much.
• Boil the water, but don't let it boil vigorously.
• Pour the tea over the water, not the water over the tea (this is important).
• Turn the heat down and let your tea steep for 17 minutes.
• When the tea leaves settle at the bottom of the teapot, it indicates that your tea is brewed.
• We recommend using 30 grams of tea for 1 liter of water.
• And then? Enjoy! 🍃

To preserve the flavor, store your tea in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and dark place.
Tea easily absorbs moisture, which can shorten its shelf life.

Sustainability

Eco-Friendly Packaging: Our packaging is made from recyclable materials with a minimal carbon footprint, designed to best protect the tea and be safe for human health. The patterned fabrics used in our tea packaging are hand-stitched by women living in the region. This goes beyond the function of packaging, aiming to contribute to the local economy and support handcrafted work. Vegan: This tea is suitable for vegan consumption and contains no animal-derived products. Sugar-free. We Have a Purpose: Lazika is an impact producer. In all our teas, alongside flavor and quality, we prioritize increasing our regional impact. It is important to us that every tea leaf we process is the best, and that the labor involved in every stage of production is visible and valued. Our main goal is an approach where tea producers and workers involved in the packaging process receive their due, and production is supported for a better future.

Mayıs Çayı

May Tea

What is May Tea and Why is it Important? For those born in May, for people who love spring, for honeybees, and of course for those kind-hearted tea-picking aunts, May is, as you might guess, their favorite month. Symbol of May: Flowers and Rebirth May is also known as the month of flowers. They say that a blind snake awakens in May, pokes its face out of the earth, and its first act is to sniff out fennel. Once it...
